The Art of Growth

Changing the Direction of a Clock

You tell me to live in the now… When all that is left of it is terror and anticipation and longing for the future. The desire to be something, anything, that is different. The desire to be something, anything, that is not what you are now. Yet, as soon as that time passes, as soon as you let me go free, there is time, the past, the forgotten and unknown now that you can never truly get back. There is an empty wish and an unfaithful longing to only just be able to change up the clock and head in a different direction.

Away from here… Away from the now.

If only the past and the future could save you… If only it were as simple as changing the direction of a clock.
